Ms. Bansal joined The Townsend Group in 2011 and provides investment consulting to several of the firm’s institutional clients, predominantly city and state pension plans, foundation and sovereign wealth fund clients. Ms. Bansal advises clients ranging from $2 billion to $160 billion in total plan assets with total real asset investment programs in excess of $20 billion. Ms. Bansal’s primary responsibilities include strategic planning, portfolio construction, investment planning, due diligence and recommendation of potential investment opportunities, fee modeling, performance analytics and managing client relations.
Prior to joining Townsend, Ms. Bansal was a senior investment professional in the private equity manager research group at Summit Strategies, an investment consulting firm with over 65 institutional clients and $130 billion in assets advised. At Summit, Ms. Bansal helped manage a $4 billion private equity portfolio with primary responsibilities of portfolio construction, research, sourcing, due diligence and recommendation of investment opportunities, performance analytics and monitoring. Within private equity, Ms. Bansal conducted research and evaluated private equity investments focusing on buyout, venture capital and debt-related strategies in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Ms. Bansal received her MBA with a major in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis and her Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus in accounting from the University of Delhi in India.
