M. Ryan Komppa is a Vice President at The Townsend Group in San Francisco and is currently responsible for identifying, underwriting, and monitoring investment opportunities globally for institutional client portfolios.
Prior to joining The Townsend Group, Mr. Komppa was a Director in the Global Fund Management and Strategy group at Prologis, where he was responsible for fund portfolio strategy and underwriting new ventures. Mr. Komppa previously managed a globally diversified real estate fund of funds at Liquid Realty Partners and worked to invest an emerging manager fund of funds at AVP Advisors, both on the behalf of institutional clients. Mr. Komppa began his career working with Green Street Advisors, has published work with the Urban Land Institute, and serves as a guest lecturer at Georgetown University’s real estate program.
Mr. Komppa earned a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California, and graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s degree in management and finance.
